Amal Boulahcen
Being a midwife has been my calling for over 18 years.
I was born and raised in France, and have been living and working in Switzerland for over 20 years. I am a mother of 2 girls.
After graduating from the St. Gallen School of Midwives, I gained my experience in both private and public hospitals:
Klinik Hirslanden ZH, University Hospital Zurich, Kantonsspital Baden AG, Spital Leuggern AG.
Since the beginning I have also worked as a translator in the medical and social field/asylum homes. Languages have always fascinated me and I speak: French, German, Spanish, Berber, Arabic, English and am currently learning Serbo-Croatian.
In the multicultural city of Zurich, there is a need for transcultural care.
I currently work as a freelance midwife.
As the founder of the NatalZentrum, I have experience in prenatal care, high-risk prenatal care, acupuncture, childbirth, childbirth, alternative medicine and bereavement support. It is important to me to accompany women and families holistically, individually and sensitively in different languages.
